McAra Air Conditioning has a proud track record over two decades, servicing the air conditioning, ventilation and heating needs of building managers around the greater Wellington region.
Managing director Mark Galbraith says McAra’s approach is to be an adviser and partner which is looking to provide long term mutual benefit.
“We take a long term approach to our business and always look to provide the solutions which are in the best interests of our clients,” says Mark. “Ultimately this approach is also in our best long term interests as well.”
McAra prides itself in its team of highly skilled and experienced staff and is committed to on the job training and skills advancement through outside courses.
The team currently consists of 10 staff, with seven vehicles on the road, which means McAra has the capacity to provide a high level of responsiveness and service.
“Our service objectives, as proven in practice, are to provide the best possible total cost of ownership outcomes to our clients and to ensure satisfied tenants through technical excellence, quick response and great communication,” says Mark.
Energy efficiency is also a major part of McAra’s expertise. “Good understanding of the building as a system is crucial as step one in determining methods of energy conservation.”
Mark is a mechanical engineer with many a combination of practical and theoretical expertise.
“I’m a bit of an engineering nerd so I like my calculator, but I also like the tools,” says Mark. “In this business there is never just one answer to a problem, so you need to be able to assess the different solutions and choose the right one. I get a buzz out of designing and implementing the ideal solution given each situation.”
